BU Men Host Black Bears

The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team closes out the regular season with a home game against the Maine Black Bears.  BU and the Black Bears go at it at 2:00 PM today (Saturday 2/27) at the Events Center (air at 1:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).

In their earlier meeting this season Maine downed the Bearcats 74-63.  Despite being in the lower half of the America East standings both teams have a lot at stake for seeding purposes for post-season play .The Bearcats and Black Bears are both 4-11 in the conference.  Each could finish as high as fifth or as low as eighth.  Hartford is also 4-11 and UMBC is 3-12.

Willie Rodriguez continues to pace all BU scorers with 14.7 points per game.  Freshman Isaac Vann is the top gun for Maine with a 15.1 points per game average.  Right behind him is Kevin Little averaging 14.7 points per contest.
