The Binghamton men's basketball team completed a sweep of the UMass Lowell River Hawks Sunday afternoon with a 64-57 victory at Tsongas Center.  Earlier in the day the BU women defeated UML 75-70 in overtime.  The win for the men was their first conference win of the season and puts their record at 1-5.  The River Hawks fall to 3-4 in America East play.

The teams were tied at the end of the first half at 24-24.  Binghamton raced out to a 19-4 run to open the second half and never looked back.  Willie Rodriguez and Marlon Beck each scored 17 points for the Bearcats.  Beck hit a trio of three-point shots to account for half of the six three-pointers scored by BU.  He is coming off of an 18 point game against Vermont on Thursday night.

The Bearcats host UMBC on Wednesday night at 7:00 PM (air at 6:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  Binghamton then travels to Maine to face the Black Bears next Saturday afternoon.
