In the latest edition of the Albany versus Binghamton men's basketball series the Great Danes rolled to a 66-54 victory.  In the 100th all-time meeting between the two schools Albany took a 27-20 lead at the half and outscored the Bearcats 39-34 in the second half to close the win.

With the victory Albany ups its America East record to 7-5 and has won seven of its last nine games.  The Bearcats fall to 3-9 and have lost four in a row.  Albany has now won 14 consecutive games against Binghamton.

David Nichols paced all scorers with 17 points for the Great Danes.  Binghamton was led by the 14 point performance of Timmy Rose.  With Binghamton standout forward Bobby Ahearn sidelined with a broken nose suffered at Vermont on Monday night the Bearcats were out-rebounded 37-25 by the Great Danes.  Binghamton only got two offensive rebounds compared to seven for the Great Danes.
