The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team plays its final road game of the regular season tonight at 7:00 PM (6:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF) as they face the UMBC Retrievers at the RAC in Catonsville, Maryland.  Binghamton defeated the Retrievers last month at the Events Center 66-57.

With the post-season fast approaching Binghamton is trying to move up in the standings in America East.  Coming into tonight's contest the Bearcats are 4-10 in conference games. That ties them with the University of Maine...a team that visits BU Saturday afternoon. The Bearcats could end up as high as a fifth seed by the close of the day Saturday.

The Retrievers are 2-12 in America East competition and in last place in the conference. Jairus Lyles is torching opponents defense scoring an average of 22.7 points per game in 18 contests.  The Bearcats counter with Willie Rodriguez who averages 14.7 points per game.  That is good fourth place on the America East scoring chart.
