The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team takes on the Penn State Nittany Lions tonight (Tuesday) at 7 PM. Air at 6:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF.  It is the first meeting between the two teams.  Binghamton is 8-4 and has won seven straight games.

The Bearcats have faced three other Big Ten foes over the years...losing twice to Michigan and once to Michigan State.  Penn State coach Pat Chambers is in his seventh season and has faced Binghamton teams in the past when he was head coach of Boston University when they were members of America East.

Penn State's starting five all average in double figures with Tony Carr leading the way averaging 20 points per game.  Binghamton is paced by J.C.Show who is scoring at a 16 point per game clip.  Thomas Bruce is second in scoring for BU with a 13.7 points per game average.  Bruce has 39 blocks and averages 9.3 rebounds per contest.  Penn State's Mike Watkins also has 39 rejections and averages 8.4 rebounds per game.

This is Binghamton's third consecutive road game.  Next up is a home game versus LIU Brooklyn on Friday night at 7 PM.
