Binghamton University has announced the hiring of Neel Bhattacharjee as the school's new head women's soccer coach.  He replaces Sarah McClellan who has been reassigned within the athletic department.

Bhattacharjee has had an extensive background in soccer.  He has been an assistant coach at Syracuse, Boston College and George Washington.  He spent much of his time heading recruiting efforts while in those positions.  This is his first head coaching position at the collegiate level.

Bhattcharjee says he is going over player personnel charts in order to evaluate returning talent and also continuing to look for student-athletes capable of performing at a high level to join the program.

The new coach says once the preparation work is ready he will concentrate on getting ready for spring practice. The Bearcats finished 3-12-2 and 2-5-1 in America East competition last season.
