The Vestal Parkway and the area around Binghamton University will be busy this Sunday as residence halls open for freshmen to move in for the fall semester.  In a press release from the University it's noted that residence halls open at 8:00 A.M. for freshmen.

The University reports that incoming freshmen will arrive at various scheduled times to help alleviate traffic congestion on roads around the school and on campus.

The University reports that approximately 2,850 freshmen will be attending BU.  In addition close to 1,100 transfer students and 1,200 graduate students will be attending Binghamton University this year.  Overall enrollment is expected to be 17,800 students.

Classes begin later this week with the isemester officially beginning this Wednesday, August 22nd.
