The defending America East Champion Binghamton Bearcats hope for a repeat when they take the field tomorrow to begin defense of the their title in Lowell, Massachusetts.  The third-seed Bearcats meet the second- seed Hartford Hawks at 6 PM tomorrow in the tourney opener for both teams. At 2 PM the top-seed from Stony Brook will match-up against the Maine Black Bears.  All games will be played at LeLacheur Park.

Binghamton finished with a conference record of 11-12 while the Hawks were 16-7 in America East play. Binghamton will face the Hawks’ ace on the mound Sean Newcomb who has a 7-2 record and an ERA of 1.36.  He is a potential number one draft pick in next month’s Major League draft.  The Bearcats will counter with their ace Jack Rogalla.  Rogalla posted a record of 5-7 and brings an ERA of 3.29 into play.

The America East Tournament is double elimination with the post-season champion getting a bid to the NCAA National Championship Tournament.
