A Heroin Education Night is being held in Johnson City October 27, hosted by Legislator Ron Heebner, the Johnson City Rotary Club, Lourdes Youth Services and the Village.

The event is being held at Sarah Jane Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church on Main Street starting at 6:30 p.m.

Pre-registration is not required, but residents can sign in for the event through the Johnson City Community Drug Awareness Facebook event page.

Panelists are scheduled from Lourdes Youth Services, Johnson City Police, Broome County Sheriff’s Office, Broome County District Attorney, New York State Police, United Health Services as well as a parent affected by the heroin problem and a person in recovery.
