Eleven Broome County residents are accused of tax fraud.  The New York State Department of Taxation and Finance says the defendants are two tax preparers and nine of their clients.

Preparers: 35 year old Heather Sweet of Johnson City and 56 year old Rebecca Tyner of Binghamton are accused of preparing and filing returns with false income information for friends from 2008 to 2011.

The women have pleaded not guilty to several counts of offering a false instrument for filing and one count each of grand larceny.

The clients are looking at possible felony charges of offering a false instrument for filing.

They were identified as Johnson City residents Kimberly Berry, Chaci Copp and Danielle Warren and Binghamton residents, Darnell Fernandez, Paul Sweet, Lillian Kramer, Richard Kramer, Dale Lunn and Deana Lamoree.
