Broome Riverbank Cleanup Planned

Organizers of an annual riverbank cleanup initiative our recruiting Broome County groups and individuals to participate in next month's project.

The Environmental Management Council will provide groups with supplies and make arrangements to have trash collected from cleanup sites.

The council also will assist people in selecting locations along local rivers.

This year's riverbank cleanup is to be held on Saturday, October 11.

The registration deadline is October 3.
