A 38-year-old man was being held at Broome County Jail after he was charged with forcible touching in a case involving a teenage girl.

Authorities say Brian Hodges of Lisle was arrested on Tuesday.

According to the Broome County Sheriff's Office, the alleged incident was said to have occurred in August.

Detectives say their investigation indicated that Hodges had inappropriately touched a 15-year-old girl while in the town of Nanticoke.

In addition to forcible touching, Hodges was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned in Barker town court and ordered held on $1,000 bail.
