Broome Legislator Needed

There is an opportunity for a bit of a fast-track for the right person as Broome County Republicans look for candidates in their search to fill a vacant county legislative seat.

The 10^th district was left without a legislator after Jerry Marinich accepted an appointment in County Executive Debra Preston’s administration.

The County Legislature will appoint a replacement who lives in the district and who is registered in the same political party as the previous Legislator.

The 10^th District encompasses all of the Town of Chenango and the Hillcrest area in the Town of Fenton.

The deadline is quickly approaching.  Requests are due by Saturday, January 16.
