Naquan Small of Brooklyn was convicted by a Broome County Court jury late Friday afternoon.

Small had been arrested for heroin possession by city police at 210 Court Street on April 11.

Jurors found Small guilty of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He is scheduled to be sentenced by Judge Kevin Dooley in January.

Prosecutors say Small has a prior violent felony conviction. He could be sentenced to a minimum of six to a maximum of 15 years in prison.

Small also faces a perjury charge in an unrelated court proceeding. In that case, he's accused of lying under in a parole hearing.

A trial is pending in the perjury case. If convicted, Smith could face another seven years in prison.
