Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]Authorities say a town of Chenango man faces felony charges after drugs were found in a search of his Broome County Jail cell.

Investigators say Justin Knapp of Baker Road was arrested on Wednesday.

According to the Broome County Sheriff's Office, a small package containing suboxone was discovered in Knapp's cell.

When a corrections officer ordered Knapp to put his hands behind his back so he could be handcuffed, he allegedly refused to do so and tried to destroy the evidence.

Officials say additional officers were called to place Knapp in handcuffs.

Knapp was charged with felony counts of promoting dangerous contraband and tampering with evidence. He also was charged with obstruction of governmental administration.
