Broome Government Offices Adjust Hours for Thanksgiving

Operating hours for many Broome County government offices and departments will be changed this week because of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Some buildings and departments will close at three o'clock Wednesday afternoon and remain closed Thursday and Friday. They include the Crawford County Office Buidling on Hawley Street, the Social Services Department on Main Street, the Mental Health Department on State Street and the Office of Employment and Training on Front Street.

The Broome County Public Library on Court Street will close at five o'clock Wednesday afternoon. The library in downtown Binghamton will not be open Thursday or Friday.

The Harvey Justice Building and the Health Department will be closed Thursday and Friday.

No inmate visits will be allowed at the Broome County Jail in the town of Dickinson Thursday or Friday.

The Broome County Landfill on Dunham Hill Road will be closed Thursday but it will operate Friday.

All Broome County parks will operate on a regular off-season schedule during the week.

Meals on Wheels may be delivered on Thursday, if delivery has been pre-arranged. No meals will be delivered on Friday.
