Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]Broome County Executive Debbie Preston is expressing support for Governor Cuomo's tax reform proposals outlined in his State of the State address.

In a statement released by her office after Cuomo delivered his speech Wednesday afternoon, Preston said her pledge since taking office "has been to keep taxes as low as possible."

Preston said she's "encouraged" the governor also is working to ease the burden on taxpayers as much as possible through the reform initiative he outlined in his message.

The county executive also said she was interested to hear Cuomo's perspective on shared services. She noted her administration has been working with local governments on "shared services opportunities" where they "make sense."

Senator Thomas Libous and Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo will discuss the State of the State address Thursday morning on WNBF Radio's Binghamton Now program.
