School districts in Broome County are poised to get over $6 million more in New York State aid than originally proposed in Governor Andrew Cuomo's budget.State Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo of Endwell says language in the budget dealing with the income wealth ratio that penalized poorer districts by rounding up their average wealth has been changed.

The Democrat also said a one-time appropriation has been included in the measure for the Union Endicott school district.  The $3.1 million grant will help offset a huge revenue loss U.E. took when the Huron Campus was reassessed and its taxes substantially reduced.
