Broome County is looking to move the Department of Motor Vehicles office from Clinton Street in the First Ward to the Intermodal Transportation Hub in Downtown Binghamton.

The County is advertising to hire a commercial real estate agent to sell the DMV site at 181-185 Clinton Street.

The parcels are appraised at $190,000.

The County currently owns the building but is paying rent on the parking lot.

County officials say moving the office would put the motor vehicle services in a more central location and save money since Broome owns all the property, including parking.

There is also a Department of Motor Vehicle office operated by Broome County on Washington Avenue in Endicott and mobile sites in Triangle and Conklin.
