Broome County Native, Sandy Hook Shooting Victim, Laid to Rest

A Vestal High School graduate, who was killed in the December 14th massacre at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut, has been laid to rest.

The funeral for Mary Sherlach was held in Connecticut December 21st.

The 56 year old was a psychologist in the Newtown school district and was killed trying to stop the shootings that claimed the lives of 26 victims. 20 of them children.

Sherlach was born in Endicott as Mary Greene and graduated from Vestal High School in 1974.
