A number of events are scheduled over the next several days to recognize national Catholic Schools Week.

Seton Catholic Central Principal Richard Bucci says the celebration started January 25 with a performance of the Seton Catholic Select Chorus at the Oakdale Mall.

A flag raising at Binghamton City Hall is scheduled for January 27 with a book fair at Barnes & Noble January 30 and 31.

Artwork from the region’s four Catholic Schools will be displayed at the Binghamton City Hall second floor Art Gallery through February. A reception celebrating the opening of the art show will take place at 6:30 p.m. January 29.

A Mass for all Catholic School Students students will be celebrated at Seton Catholic Central January 25.

Broome’s Catholic Schools educate nearly 1,000 students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade.

This year’s theme for Catholic Schools Week is “Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service.”
