A Bronx man is accused of having hundreds of packets of heroin at a home on Binghamton's South Side.

City Police executed a search warrant at the residence on Burr Avenue and arrested 28 year old Adam Kamagatae.

Authorities say the Bronx man also is wanted on a warrant issued by  New York City in connection with an attempted murder investigation.

Police say they seized 283 packets of heroin and about $4,200.

Kamagatae is charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

He was sent to the Broome County Jail.

Binghamton Police, the Special Investigations Unit Task Force, the U.S.Marshalls Fugitive Task Force, New York State Parole Division and the New York City Police Department participated in the investigation.
