Bradford County Woman Scammed in Rare Puppy Purchase

A Bradford County woman is out over a thousand dollars in an attempt to buy a puppy online.

Pennsylvania State Police say the Smithfield Township woman was deceived into sending $1,275 dollars as payment for a Nova Scotia Duck Trolling Retriever puppy.  After sending that money, the woman was repeatedly asked to send more money through MoneyGram for various issues that supposedly came up surrounding the purchase.

The investigation is continuing.
