A 6-year-old Bradford County boy sustained a broken foot when he was hit by a vehicle near his home.

Authorities say the child was struck by the car around 1:45 p.m. Friday. It happened on Hinman Road in Monroe borough.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the boy ran into the roadway and was hit by a 1998 Ford Escort.

The child was treated at Towanda Memorial Hospital.

Investigators say the 19-year-old Canton man who was driving the car was not charged.
