A man, whose girlfriend fell to her death from a moving car last year, will be spending six months in jail.

37-year-old, Arthur Basso, confessed to leaving the scene after 31-year-old, Crystal Bevier Grobelny, tumbled from the vehicle on West Dryden Road in November of 2013. Her body was found along the side of the road.

Investigators say the couple had been returning from a celebration of the anniversary of their first date.

In addition to the jail time, Basso is to pay $5,500 in fines for leaving the scene and failing to notify police.
