Johnson City Police are investigating an apparent shooting incident that sent a boy to the hospital.

Officials are not confirming much information about the report, but shots were said to have been fired shortly before 10:30 p.m. August 30 on North Broad Street with an 11 year old boy taken by ambulance from the scene.

Early reports indicated the boy had been wounded in the arm.

Police are not confirming the age of the reported victim or commenting on extent of injuries at this time.
