Three Susquehanna county, Pennsylvania teens are facing criminal mischief charges after state police say they botched an attempt to make a "bottle firework."  A resident on Chase Street in Hallstead found a soda bottle in front of their home that appeared partially filled with liquid with some of the contents seeping from the end of the bottle.  State police and the Hallstead fire company responded to the scene Saturday and determined the item was a failed attempt at making a homemade bottle firework as a prank.  Troopers say the two 15 year olds and a 14 year old had read about making the explosive on the internet.  Authorities say making homemade fireworks can cause serious injury or death and anyone using devices that cause injury or property damage will be prosecuted.
