Boscov Tells Staff He Has Cancer

The executive who agreed to a deal with then-Binghamton Mayor Juanita Crabb to locate a large department store in downtown Binghamton as a retail anchor has announced he has terminal cancer.

Albert Boscov sent a letter to employees telling them he has pancreatic cancer.  The 87 year old said he doesn’t have a lot of time and there is no cure.

He closed his communication to employees saying he loves them all.
