Book Explores Broome County’s “Seamy Side”

Broome County historian Gerald Smith and former Press & Sun-Bulletin reporter George Basler have teamed up to examine some of the more infamous folks who've lived in the Binghamton area over the years.

"On the Seamy Side of the Street" is a newly-released book by Smith and Basler. It's published by the Broome County Historical Society.

Smith and Basler will be at the Broome County Public Library on Wednesday, September 18, for a presentation about the book. The event is scheduled for 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the Decker Community Room.
