A 14-inch steel water service line on Thomas Road ruptured on Saturday. The break made it impossible to fill the Ely Park reservoir.

Officials say the pipe has been repaired, allowing pressure to be restored.

The area affected by the BOIL WATER ADVISORY: South boundary - Prospect Street. East boundary - Front Street. West boundary - City line. North boundary - Legacy Bay Apartments.

Water customers in that section of the city are advised to bring all water to a boil and let it boil for one minute, then let it cool. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation until further notice.

City water department workers on Monday were dealing with at least two other line breaks. One was at the intersection of Court and Liberty streets. Another was reported on Main Street in the area of Crary Avenue and Matthews Street.
