Body Found in Tioughnioga River

Police in Cortland are investigating the discovery of a body in the Tioughnioga River.

Officials say some people walking on Rickard Street saw the body floating in the river at around 8:30 a.m. July 16 and notified authorities.

The body was quickly recovered from the water.

Authorities say the victim was a man and foul play is not suspected.

The man's identity and cause of death have not been determined.
