The Binghamton Mets have just 12 games to go in the regular season schedule and 8 of those games are on the road. Still clinging to hopes for a post-season playoff spot the BMets are currently in 5th place and 5 games out of a chance to extend their season. The problem is they have to overtake three other teams to get to second place and a spot in the playoffs. One of those teams is Portland, a team the BMets face at 7 PM this evening in the first of a four game series in Portland. Cory Mazzoni is the scheduled BMets pitcher tonight. Following the Portland series the BMets head to Reading for four games and then return home  to play the Trenton Thunder  from August 31 - September 3.  Action for tonight's game can be heard on Newsradio 1290 WNBF with airtime at 645.
