Kathy Whyte/ WNBF News

A Binghamton group that looks to improve the lifestyle of City residents is celebrating the end of the Summer Youth Employment Program with its fifth annual Family and Friends Potluck on August 7.

Volunteers Improving Neighborhood Environments or VINES has been working with a dozen teens from the City over the past 6 works at the Urban Farm, Community gardens and CHOW farm.

The teen volunteers have been planting, maintaining and harvesting vegetables and building signs for community gardens.

The teens will share food with family, friends, farm customers and neighbors, give tours of the Urban Farm on Tudor Street and includes presentations from the volunteers on what they learned over the summer.

The Potluck takes place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the 7th at the Urban Farm.
