Mayor Matthew Ryan brought a guest to his scheduled appearance on WNBF Radio's Binghamton Now program.

Ryan said Leo is a terrier mix dog he and his wife rescued last September.

The mayor said Leo is "full of energy" who enjoys spending time running around a dog park. Ryan said "nobody can outrun him."

Ryan encouraged people to consider adopting a rescue dog. He said Leo grew up across from the downtown baseball stadium. He's now found a new home with the mayor, just a few steps from City Hall.

Leo made himself at home in the studio as the mayor answered questions over the course of an hour. He appeared to enjoy observing the computer equipment used for the broadcast.
