October is still jam-packed with events and parties to mark the 30th year of the Discovery Center Interactive Children's Museum in Binghamton and it's all being discussed on Southern Tier Close Up Saturday, October 11.

Pokey Crocker and Martha Steed talk on the weekly local public affairs program about all the celebrations as well as the humble beginnings of the educational and fun facility now on Morgan Road on Binghamton's South Side.

About the biggest celebration of the year is the High Heels, High Hats, High Times Halloween celebration for "big kids" on October 18, 6-11 p.m. at the museum.  Tickets for the night of food, music and more are still available.

The museum will also host hundreds of families on October 25 for the big Halloween celebration with treats, prizes and even the first ever Doggie Halloween Costume parade.  Dogs and their owners who want to participate must pre-register and proof of vaccination is required.
