Johnson City police say a woman who was apprehended in connection with a reported larceny faces more charges after she provided a false name.

Authorities say 46-year-old Tracy Gardner of Binghamton was charged with second-degree forgery, a felony.

Gardner also was charged with criminal impersonation and two counts of petit larceny.

Investigators say village police received a larceny complaint from the Walmart store on Gannett Drive.

Gardner was taken into custody near the store.

Police say Gardner fabricated a name and signed a fingerprint form using the false name.

Gardner was arraigned in Johnson City village court and sent to Broome County Jail.
