A Binghamton woman is accused of driving while under the influence of a central nervous system stimulant.

Broome County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a two-vehicle, rear-end crash at 3:35 p.m. October 23 on New York Route 12A at Matthews road in the Town of Chenango.

During the investigation, one of the deputies said it appeared 55 year old Marsha Hoover was acting abnormally.

The Deputy, who is a New York State certified drug recognition expert determined Hoover had been driving while her ability was impaired by a substance.

She was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and following two closely.

The driver of the other vehicle complained of back pain and was taken to Wilson Hospital for evaluation.
