Bob Joseph/WNBF News

Police have charged a Binghamton woman in connection with the stabbing of a 17-year-old girl at a downtown party.

Investigators say 19-year-old Natacha Pica-Valdes was arrested Wednesday.

Authorities say Pica-Valdes is the suspect in the attack on a girl at an April 13 party at 100 Susquehanna Street.

Police were called to Binghamton General Hospital late that night to interview the teenage girl who was being treated for a stab wound to her back.

Pica-Valdes was arraigned in Binghamton city court and sent to Broome County Jail.

Investigators say people with information about the attack may contact city police detectives at 607.772.7080.
