The Binghamton Walk of Fame, now located at the Metro Center on Court Street in Binghamton, will soon move to the Forum Theatre at 236 Washington Street in Binghamton.  The move was announced today by Broome County Executive Debbie Preston.

44 stars currently make up the Walk of Fame.  The initial award went to honor Rod Serling and over the years community leaders, musicians and many others have been honored with a star with their name on it placed on the Walk of Fame.

Robert Keller, president of the Walk of Fame committee, said " I applaud County Executive Preston, Mayor David and the others for moving these stars to an area that will be more visible."  The move is expected to begin shortly and take about one month to complete.  The stars will be removed from the sidewalk and placed on display at the Forum.  The sidewalk will then be repaired and filled-in to blend  with the rest of the sidewalk in the Metro Center area.
