Binghamton University Wrestlers Cody Reed and David White Compete In NCAA Tournament

Binghamton University wrestlers Cody Reed and David White competed this week in the NCAA Division I National Championship Tournament in Oklahoma City.  The three-day double elimination event  wraps up tonight with the championship round.

Reed, competing in the 197- pound weight class came up one win short of All-America honors when he was defeated by third-seed Morgan McIntosh form Penn State, 14-3 in the 197-pound consolation round match last night.  Reed had advanced to the quarterfinals with a pair of opening day victories.  He lost his opening match yesterday 8-1 to top-seed Nick Heflin from Ohio State.  Reed finishes his collegiate career with a record of 94-62 and was a three-time NCAA qualifier.

Competing in the 125-pound weight class junior David White went 1-2 and was eliminated on Thursday.  White ends his season at 26-11 and made his first NCAA appearance.
