Binghamton University is taking up the issue of homelessness.

November 16, the Department of Social Work at Binghamton University College of Community and Public Affairs and the Southern Tier Homeless Coalition scheduled a
discussion and presentation from 6 to 9 p.m. at the BU Downtown Center where participants take on the roles of families in poverty and then discuss the experience.

November 17, the Vestal Campus again hosts the Sleep Out Challenge at the Hinman Quad.  Participants are challenged to simulate homelessness by sleeping out in cardboard boxes, tents and sleeping bags from 7 p.m. November 17 to 6 a.m. November 18 .
