The Binghamton University Assistant Director of Campus Activities is being tapped to oversee fraternities and sororities at B.U.

Lester Coghill joins an effort launched last spring to address systemic concerns within Greek Life at B.U.

University officials say Coghill will work closely with student leaders in the Greek Letter organizations. He will advise chapters on recruitment proceedures, which have come under close scrutiny lately locally and at colleges elsewhere in the U.S., membership education programs, citizenship and chapter management.

Vice President for Student Afffairs, Brian Rose says the University's goal is establish greater accountability to community standards and University polices while preserving and strengthen the aspects of fraternal organizations.
