2012-2013 Season Is Underway
The Binghamton University Men's and Women's 2012-2013 Basketball season is under way. News Radio 1290 WNBF is once again the flagship station of the Binghamton Bearcats Radio Network and will broadcast every BU Men's and Women's Basketball game home and away this season.
The BU Men have a new Head Coach for the 2012-2013 campaign. Tommy Dempsey is a seasoned Division I coach and will be bringing a lot of success and experience to the BU Program.
Prior to joining BU, Dempsey coached seven seasons at Rider University where he racked up the third most total wins of any program in the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Conference.
Dempsey is a Scranton, Pennsylvania native. He has a wife, Amy, and four children.
On the women's side, Head Coach Nicole Scholl enters her fifth season at the helm of the Lady Bearcats. This also marks her 14th year with the program.
Coach Scholl has led the Bearcats to the America East semifinals in three of the last four seasons. Her knowledge and dedication have helped the Bearcats become a top threat in the conference.

Bearcats Hoop Talk Coach's Show
News Radio 1290 will also bring you Bearcats' Hoop Talk most Monday nights throughout the season. This year, the show will be broadcast live from the Riverwalk Hotel and Conference Center in Downtown Binghamton. The show will air from 7 to 7:30 p.m.
Bearcats Hoop Talk is a way for the BU faithful to get inside the head of the coaches. Roger Neel and Tim Heiman sit down with each coach to get the inside scoop on each respective team, on the players, and how they are preparing for their next opponents.
Here is the schedule of shows. Shows may be added towards the end of the season if needed. All shows will air from 7 to 7:30 p.m.
