Binghamton Truck Driver Seriously Hurt Crashing into House

A Binghamton man is hospitalized with what are said to be serious injuries after losing control of the tractor trailer he was driving, smashing into a house.The crash happened March 11th in Hop Bottom in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania.

Police say 43 year old Dana Francis was driving on Forest Street when he lost control while traveling through a railroad tunnel. The truck hit the wall of the tunnel and may have lost its brakes before continuing down the road, hitting another wall and crashing into the house.  The truck came to rest in the garage of the house.

Police say a woman inside the house was also hurt. Both were taken to a local hospital. The nature of their injuries has not been revealed by authorities.

The investigation is continuing.
