Binghamton Teen is Accused of Driving With a Blood Alcohol Level 2X the Limit

A Town of Binghamton teen is being charged with drunk driving following a crash on Interstate 81 South at exit 3 in the Town of Kirkwood January 12.

Responding Broome County Sheriff’s Deputies say they found a car off the road near the exit and determined the driver, 18 year old Jessica Santi was impaired by alcohol.

Officials say Santi’s blood alcohol level was measured at more than twice the legal limit at .17%.

One of two passengers in the teen’s car was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.  There were no other injuries.

Santi is charged with two DWI counts and one count of moving from a lane unsafely.
