Binghamton Teen Accused of Cussing Out Sheriff’s Deputy After Getting Stuck

Kathy Whyte/ WNBF News

Broome County Sheriff’s officials say a Deputy was on the receiving end of a profanity-laced tirade from a motorist stuck in a ditch in the Town of Union.

A Sheriff’s Patrol responded to a report of a possible crash in the area of Lewis at 4:11 a.m. January 3rd and found a motorist trying to dig a vehicle out of the ditch.

Officials say 19 year old Marrice Pedroso of Binghamton allegedly started yelling and swearing at the officer after being told the patrol car would not physically pull his car out of the ditch and the Deputy would call a tow truck for him.

The teen then said he was going to move the squad car out of the way so he could leave.

When he approached the car, the Deputy and Pedroso struggled and the teen was taken into custody.

He’s charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest and was sent to the Broome County Jail on 750-dollars bail.
