Binghamton Tavern Loses Its Liquor License

City officials say the New York State Liquor Authority has revoked the license of a Binghamton bar.

According to the mayor's office, T. Mulligans Food and Spirits at 58 Clinton Street has lost its license.

The tavern, located just east of Murray Street in the First Ward, opened about eight years ago. It was in operation until around 12:15 a.m. on Saturday.

Vending equipment and other items were being removed from the bar early Tuesday afternoon.

The liquor authority revocation order was dated November 28. The order stated the matter was considered by the agency at a meeting held one week earlier.

The authority cited a "sustained and continuing pattern" of noise, misconduct or disorder at the business. It also maintained there were problems involving altercations or assaults on the premises.

Thomas DeHaven, the owner of the business, declined to discuss the license revocation.
