The Binghamton Bearcats softball team swept a doubleheader Saturday, April 25 at UMBC in Catonsville, Md by scores of 8-5 and 5-2.

The Bearcats opened the first game with a four-run first inning that included a three-run home run from Kate Richard.  Cara Martin earned the win on the mound for Binghamton.

In the nightcap Sara Miller led the Bearcats to victory with a solid outing on the mound,  Sydney Harbaugh and Taylor Chaffee also ripped home runs in the twinbill.

With the victories Binghamton ups its America East conference slate to 7-5.  UMBC falls to 7-4.
