Hockey season is here !  The Binghamton Senators opened the 2014-15 campaign at home on Saturday night against the Worcester Sharks.  The teams battled evenly through three periods.  With just 25 seconds remaining in overtime Matt Taormina notched the game-winner for Worcester to give the Sharks a 3-2 win.

The B-Sens got a pair of goals from Ryan Dzingel.  Both goaltenders were outstanding.  Troy Grosenick made 41 saves while Andrew Hammond stopped 45 Sharks' shots.  The game was the first for the B-Sens in the recently re-named Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena and was the first game there showcasing a new state-of-the-art scoreboard complete with animation and game videos.

Binghamton is next in action this Friday at 7:05 PM with another home game.  the B-Sens host the Portland Pirates at 7:05 PM.  Tickets are available at the Veterans Memorial Arena Box Office orat the B-Sens Executive Office.  Fans can also purchase tickets via Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com.
