Binghamton School To Host Blessing Of Animals

Pets will be welcome at Seton Catholic Central High School for a special event this Sunday.

A "Blessing of the Animals" has been scheduled in honor of the Feast Day of Saint Francis of Assisi.

The ceremony is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot of the school at 70 Seminary Avenue on Binghamton's West Side.

The blessing will be performed by the Franciscan Friars of Saint Cyril and Methodius Church in Binghamton.

People are invited to bring their pets to the ceremony.

In the event of rain, the blessing will take place in the school gymnasium.
